Cheerleading is an acrobatic dance style combining 5 key elements: Dance, Jumps, Tumbling, Stunts and Motions. These are combined with music to create stimulating routines and chants that can be used at sporting events, shows or competitions.

A good way to describe cheerleading who is new  cheerleading, is that it is like a mix between artistic gymnastics, acrobatics and dance all rolled into one! The common misconception about cheerleaders just waving pom poms in short skirts could not be more wrong!

For both boys and girls cheerleading is a great way to stay fit and have fun. It is an intense physical activity that builds fitness levels; flexibility; strength and stamina.
